WE MADE IT! It’s finally reveal week and we made it to the end. When Mike and I started the One Room Challenge, we knew that we were being a bit too ambitious. Re-do an entire kitchen in 8 weeks. While working full-time, demanding jobs. While parenting. By ourselves. Yeah, right.
But, we made it! Before we dive into the afters, be sure to check out our progress week-by-week below.
Also, thank you to One Room Challenge and media partner Apartment Therapy for this year’s amazing collection of designers and spaces. You can check out the other spaces here: ORC Blog: https://www.oneroomchallenge.com/orc-blog
THE KITCHEN BEFORE
When we purchased our home, the kitchen was covered in wood paneling, had a drop ceiling, old oak cabinets, and a quarter bath (just a toilet) in the corner.
We updated it a bit to make it liveable by opening up access to the dining room and adding new cabinetry. But we didn’t make any other changes (aside from a botched epoxy countertop and wood flooring) for over 2 years.
THE KITCHEN REVEAL
Here she is.
I’ll detail all of our sources in a later post, and we still have to finish the nook reveal. But we are so in love with the kitchen, with it’s depth and personality. It feels dramatic and is beyond what we expected.
So, thoughts?!
