Hey guys –
Today I’m sharing some renderings and hero images of what I hope our house could look like. Again, these are just renderings so our house doesn’t actually look like this right now. If you have the time, I recommend making renderings of your space if you want to see how furniture will look or if you have enough space for something.
TThe measurements and scale is accurate and the aesthetic is what we hope to achieve but obviously some finishes and fixtures will change.
The main accent in our house will be black: black fireplace, black pocket doors, black decor pieces throughout. This was very unintentional but we have come to love the simplicity (and consistency) of white, black and brass!
For the dining room, we want it to be a little lighter and airier. We’re probably going to DIY our dining table with steel tube legs and a marble-esque top.
Here’s my vision for the kitchen
The kitchen was hard to make because the program was not letting me make as many edits as I wanted. They had pre-set cabinet sizes that I couldn’t change and I couldn’t cut down the size of the floating shelves.
The range and refrigerator will be on one wall with cabinets to the ceiling. That is kind of the main focal point when you walk into the kitchen. On the wall to your left is the sink and dishwasher with floating shelves. And then there’s an island in the middle.
We have a sad little “patio” now and want to spruce it up…
I don’t know if we will actually put a wall up but I do want some kind of divider since our house is only semi-detached and our neighbor is right next door. They’re nice people and all that, but I just wanna be able to sit outside and have a coffee without having to make small talk.
The patio is 6×17 so not very big but I do want to put cement tiles, a little seating area, a railing for P and make it as welcoming as possible.
Again, if you can – I encourage you to make a few mock-ups and renderings. This took me an hour and the software is FREE. (Also, this is not sponsored at all, I’m just sharing with you.)
Renderings were made by me using the HomeStyler free 3D renderings software.
